About the Speaker:

Brandi Crawford Ferguson, Associate Director of Philanthropy for the McKenzie River Trust is a 3rd generation native of the McKenzie watershed and has worked for MRT for 12 years.  The McKenzie River Trust is a nonprofit land conservation group that was founded in 1989.  The devastating Holiday Farm wildfire burned over 170,000 acres in the McKenzie Valley, displaced over 400 families that lived up the McKenzie corridor and leveled the rural community of Blue River.  We have a long road ahead of us as we work together to rebuild communities, homes and restore our cherished McKenzie River – our sole source of drinking water.   Brandi will share how the McKenzie River Trust immediately pivoted their staff,  resources and called on their valuable connections in the community to help meet the urgent needs of the hundreds of families evacuated overnight and what lies ahead.
