August GreenLane Sustainability TOUR: Lane Community College’s downtown building

Please join us on Wednesday, August 7th for a guided tour of the sustainability features of Lane Community College’s downtown building. Lunch will not be provided–feel free to bring a sack lunch to eat before or after the tour. If you’d like to be included in the tour of the mechanical room (maximum of 10 people at a time on this portion of the tour), please arrive a few minutes early to the tour to sign up.
About the Speaker: Roger Ebbage holds an inter-disciplinary MA in Environmental Studies/Industrial Arts with a Passive Solar Building design emphasis. Roger has been the Energy and Water Efficiency Program Director at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, since 1992 and has made the program a national model for energy and water technician education.
About Lane Community College Downtown Campus: The Lane Community College Downtown Campus is a model of current sustainable design and construction and is the gem of the Eugene Downtown district. The iconic building front features a beautiful evacuated tube, solar thermal system that supplies 90% of the domestic hot water for not only the Academic building also for the connected year-round, fully occupied student apartment building during the May-October season and 60% of the hot water during the balance of the year. The building features full day lighting and is passively heated and cooled with high performance mechanical systems as back up!
