April Member Spotlight: Cody Franz, Point2Point/Lane Transit District
Cody Franz is the Transportation Options Specialist and the Business Commute Challenge Coordinator for Point2point at Lane Transit District. Cody graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Environmental Studies. He is passionate about sustainability and transportation, which makes him a perfect fit with the Point2point team! One of the things Cody likes the best about his job is being able to help people discover new ways to move around their community without their car.
Point2Point helps residents in the Eugene-Springfield area discover transportation options other than driving alone and offers many programs and services to help. One of the programs Point2point manages is the yearly Business Commute Challenge, being held May 12-18. It is a friendly competition between businesses to see who can get the highest percentage of their employees to walk, bike, bus, carpool or telework during that week (commutechallenge.org). It is a great way to encourage people to get out there and just try it.
Fun fact: Cody was the Business Commute Challenge intern in 2012.
