The focus of the Membership/Election committee has been to organize and manage the membership roster as well as organize the election process once a year. Our current goals include, networking in the community to increase GreenLane’s membership, reaching out to current members, identifying our membership benefits, as well as developing future membership benefits through feedback mechanisms from the current membership base.
This past year, we’ve reached out to our members by making personal phone calls to thank them for joining GreenLane as well as invited each new member to attend our networking and educational meetings twice a month. We’ve handed out surveys to our members in order to gain a better understanding of our member’s interests and needs. Results of the survey found that members value the networking meetings for different reasons, but commonly appreciated the opportunity to network, share resources, promote their business/organization and obtain educational information on sustainable business practices. And last, we created and held our first Annual Election. During this time we performed electoral duties that included creating and distributing information regarding nominations, the voting process and the election meeting.
