Admission into the show is free, show attendees can double their Haiti donations because Berg Productions, the show management, will donate up to $10,000 in a match for every dollar donated to Medical Teams International at the show!  Medical Teams International volunteers will be collecting donations by check or cash in the lobby of the show and by credit card at their educational exhibit located in the North Hall. Stop by their exhibit to learn how their efforts are assisting in Haiti and to connect as a volunteer your services.

Helen Berg, founder of Berg Productions who produces three Eugene based home and garden shows immediately sprung into action to partner with this organization because of its excellent reputation as they consistently receive a 4 Star rating from Charity Navigator:  “Medical Teams International a wonderful organization that can deliver the much needed medical care needed in Haiti.  They are so efficient at utilizing donations to provide lasting solutions for people suffering from such a massive disaster as this tragic earthquake.”

As a supporter of Medical Teams International, formally known as NW Medical Teams, Ms. Berg is confident that these donations will be maximized for life sustaining assistance.  This Portland, Oregon based non-governmental organization (NGO) was founded in 1979 and has served more than 4.5 million people in 53 nations.  They have shipped $126 Million in supplies in the last year to 45 countries.  They also serve the Northwest with 11 mobile Dental Clinics.

Medical Teams International is sending a very experienced team of six people to Haiti. The team will be carrying medicines and orthopedic supplies - enough to help 12,000 people for a week. An orthopedic specialty team is scheduled to depart on Sunday, January 17th.
