Congratulations to Mija Andrade, Executive Director of the Materials Exchange Center for the Community Arts and MECCA for recieving GreenLane's first annual Daniel Swantek Memorial Scholarship Award. This award was created in GreenLane Co-founder Daniel's honor to give recognition to a GreenLane member who strives to help others be more sustainable through their own business practices.

As one of the founding organizations involved in the creation of GreenLane Sustainable Business Network, I am proud to extend an invitation for you to attend the GreenLane 1st Anniversary Event this coming Wednesday, January 27, from 6 PM to 8 PM held at the Northwest Community Credit Union Gateway location. Its that time of year again!  Each year, the Lane County Resource Recovery Advisory Committee seeks nominations for the Annual TrashBuster Awards to be presented on or near America Recycles Day.

GreenLane is a membership organization comprised of triple-bottom-line businesses, farms, government organizations, nonprofits and social entrepreneurs, who are committed to building a more socially, environmentally, and financially sustainable local economy. This 11th annual Earth Day Celebration is an environmentally-based event that celebrates the Earth and its resources. This year’s event theme is "Small Steps, Big Changes" and features educational activity booths, the John H. Baldwin Film & Lecture Series, a musical stage, a Procession of All Species, and much more! The event is produced by the volunteer efforts of the Earth Day Steering Committee.
