Allen Perkins was a Fraud Investigator for 16 years and brought his extensive knowledge of online fraud prevention and investigative skills to the technology field in 2006. He and business partner Steven Wilson, founded Catalyst Technology group in July of 2007. Shortly thereafter, together with NextStep recycling and Green Solutons Printing, they founded the Greenlane Sustainable Business Network.
I owned and operated Earthwise Painting, an environmentally minded residential and commercial painting company for over 10 years. After a serious knee injury I left painting for the sales and customer service field, starting my career in the Fair Trade Gourmet Foods Industry. I came to Green Solutions Printing in June of 2009 and have since taken an active role in Green Lane SBN as a committee member and as an alternate to the Board of Directors.
Jim has a Masters in Education and has experience in media, organizational development, and marketing. In addition to directing BikeLane, Jim is a Program Consultant for Mobis/Bikestation, Director of Marketing and Sales for Solar Assist and serves on the board of Oregonians for Science and Reason and the Institute for Sustainability Education and Ecology.
I have 10 years experience leading and assisting start up, non-profit and for-profit companies. My most recent ventures include a Web 2.0 start-up (social shopping and social research in the sustainability field) where I helped raise nearly $500K from Oregon based investors; and Arcimoto, an electric vehicle start-up where I led the marketing efforts and team. I have completed extensive research in the LOHAS market (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability). I hold an MBA from George Fox University and a Certificate of Completion from the University of Oregon, Sustainability Academy.
I have lived in beautiful Lane County for 21 years. I am passionate about planet Earth and supporting a sustainable environment through supporting our local communities. I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a background in business from being self employed for the past 11 years as a Realtor.
Shane DeMars is an advisor and consultant with 16 years of experience developing individuals and organizations. He works primarily to facilitate change in organizations through improved communication, education and organizational development. Shane strongly believes the best solutions develop through collaboration, and that a systems approach leads to sustainable solutions. Shane’s work developing people and facilitating change has been varied. He has worked in several states conducting independent audits, stakeholder assessments, and program evaluations. Shane spent seven years developing professional trainers in direct instruction, role play simulation, and leadership skills. He has designed simulation exercises, classroom instruction, and computer based training on a wide variety of topics. Recently he has served as a facilitator to revise and develop organizational mission, vision and goals and been engaged as a speaker on sustainability and change. Shane has worked independently and on global teams. He has had the privilege to work with global Fortune 100 organizations in software and biomedical fields as well as smaller public entities like Albertina Kerr and the Indiana Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Shane has provided his services for several universities including Utah State University, the US Air Force Academy, the University of Denver and Indiana University. Shane holds a BA in psychology and an MA in educational psychology, and is completing his PhD. He is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), Master Recycler, and current board member of Green Lane – a green business networking organization serving Lane County, Oregon. He has published articles in TechTrends, The Master Recycler Newsletter and Performance Improvement. Shane currently lives in Eugene, Oregon. Thomas Price joins the GreenLane Board with over 20 years of experience in Safety, Health & Environmental works; with his major focus on Sustainability and Hazardous Materials management. After partnering with the Climate Leadership Initiative and taking the Climate Masters at Work program, Thomas is now adding Carbon Foot Printing and Climate Action Planning to the many sustainable works his group does. Thomas’ training, experience, and education lead him to attain two degrees. The first degree is Natural Resource Sciences. The second degree is Environmental Studies and Planning with an emphasis in Hazardous Materials Management. He then became a County regulator of hazardous materials businesses, where he discovered the best way to raise the standard of care of hazardous materials was to create and provide OSHA and EPA training. Thomas left the public sector to work with Lockheed Martin in 1996. For the past 16 years Thomas has been working in the Pacific Northwest helping companies manage their environmental, safety, and health sustainability issues to ensure safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces.
