We are talking global 'worms' as in slimy, soft compost eaters, not the planet temperature...
The Register Guard recently published an article about Casey Barrett, Director of Operations for 5th Street Market, a GreenLane member & supporter. Casey has begun vermicomposting at the market by having their eight different restaurants offer their scraps to two different worm bins full of 12,000 red worms.
Kudos to Casey and the 5th Street Market! We are going to have to ask Casey to come talk to us about vermiculture at a GreenLane Networking meeting in the near future.
